Sleep Medicine Opportunity

Our client, operating in Ontario, Canada is looking for a qualified and compassionate Sleep Physician to provide comprehensive care to their patients and manage both common and complex diseases.

Employer:

Our client is the largest operator of independent diagnostic health facilities in Ontario. More than 15,000 Ontario healthcare providers refer their patients to their 40 accredited locations for cardiology, imaging, women’s health, telehealth, and sleep diagnostic services.

The team comprises of 140 doctors and 400+ para-medical staff.

Job Description:

The Physician should be able to effectively diagnose patients and

suggest a successful course of treatment and will document patient encounters in the EMR system.  The candidate may be specialized, fellowship trained sleep specialists or could be specialized in family medicine/internal medicine/ psychiatry and neurology but has experience in sleep medicine obtained from the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with a broad range of primary and secondary sleep disorders and the interpretation of polysomnograms under the supervision of a physician in a sleep disorder facility. The physician may be required to travel to multiple clinic locations.

Shift: Monday to Friday – Flexible daytime shifts. No on-call work or emergency work required.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree and postgraduate Medicine training
Certified to read sleep studies
Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be licensed with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Applications are welcome from candidates working towards these.
US Board Certified Physician are eligible for independent license in Ontario
American Board Certified Physicians are eligible for an independent license with the CPSO and are welcomed to apply.
Physicians with Royal College Approved Jurisdiction eligibility eligible for a supervised license with the CPSO
Physicians that have successfully completed the RCPSC specialty examination via the RCPSC Practice Eligibility Route and hold the MCCQE1 exam are eligible for a supervised license with the CPSO.
The physician must be able to collaborate with health care staff, patients, and their families.
Able to work in a team environment and independently.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada by holding either an open work permit, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship.
