Seeking Women’s Imaging Reader with Focus in Obstetrics

 

Our client, operating in Ontario, Canada with locations in Toronto (GTA), London, Simcoe, Sudbury is a secondary healthcare provider focusing on Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Gynecology, and Pain Management. The team comprises 140 doctors and 400 para-medical staff.

Our client is seeking an experienced Fellowship-Trained Women’s Imaging Radiologist to join their teleradiology team. The candidate will serve as the physician lead for women’s imaging for the organization and provide necessary support to the team on matters related to the field including policies, best practices, reporting requirements, CME, etc. The successful candidate will work remotely and collaboratively as part of a highly

efficient teleradiology team providing dedicated expertise to their reading and medical teams in all 50 clinic locations across Ontario. The candidate will be required to read cases on a regular basis and may be requested to perform on-site procedures such as Sono hysterograms, physician-guided breast ultrasound and breast biopsy.

The successful candidate has the option to become a partner after one year’s work.

This position is open to either General Radiologists with a Focus in Obstetrics OR Obstetricians.

Responsibilities:

Required to read cases on a consistent basis.
Identify areas of improvement and work with the teams to enhance practice protocols.
Co-chair the applicable working group(s) for creating internal standards of practice in line with general practice standards.
Identify and provide CME opportunities for the internal medical team and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Provide feedback on an ongoing basis for technical improvements.
Identify opportunities for improvement for reporting templates.
Perform on-site procedures such as Sono hysterograms, physician-guided breast ultrasound and breast biopsy, as requested or required.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada by holding either an open work permit, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship.

Hours of work:

Our client is very flexible when it comes to schedule and modality. They are open to physicians with a varied work schedule including full-time and part-time staff and 100% remote (i.e., periodic shift work). Most work by the physician is done through teleradiology.

Skills required:

Medical Degree with specialist training in Women’s Imaging.
Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be licensed with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Applications are welcome from candidates working towards these.
US Board Certified Physician are eligible for independent license in Ontario
Foreign Graduates are welcome, and sponsorship is available.
Physicians with Royal College Approved Jurisdiction eligibility eligible for a supervised license with the CPSO
Physicians that have successfully completed the RCPSC specialty examination via the RCPSC Practice Eligibility Route and hold the MCCQE1 exam are eligible for a supervised license with the CPSO.
The physician must be able to collaborate with health care staff, patients and their families.
Able to work in a team environment and independently.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada by holding either an open work permit, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship.
