About Candidate

DR. ROBERT D. JOHNSON MD, FAAP                                                                          Cover Letter

February 28, 2025

Greetings,

In that my wife is being recruited for an International-based position of public service to begin in 2025, I wish to present myself for consideration of joining your faculty as a Physician.

I am currently a Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Consultant at the largest children’s hospital system in The United States and an Assistant Professor at The Baylor College of Medicine. I have a total of eleven (11)  years PEM experience and a total of fourteen (14) as a Paediatrician.

95% of my duties relate to direct patient care which I find the most satisfying part of doctoring. I am lucky to receive regular feedback such as “I wanted to give praise to Dr. Johnson. He was incredibly patient and calm with my daughter and explained the treatment for her very, well. He Was very kind and Incredibly efficient.”  I have been involved in teaching undergraduates, medical students, residents and fellows in direct clinical practice with great enthusiasm. My most recent (2024) Faculty Performance Review rating “Exceeds Expectations”.

My ABP Board Certifications in Paediatrics and Paediatric Emergency Medicine are in maintenance of certification (MOC) phase and remain in good standing. I have active, unrestricted licenses, DEA, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certificates, and maintain recent CME.

My recent publications include “Buprenorphine Exposures in Oklahoma Children”.” Journal of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, 115(5), 168-175 (2022) and Approach to Pediatric Anemia published in EM:RAP CorePendium, editor Dr. Amal Mattu.

I am open to several possible contractual relationships with the intention of permanent commitment.

I look forward to a mutually prosperous relationship!

Most respectfully,

-Dr. Robert D. Johnson, MD
