Our Client is the largest independent healthcare facility in Ontario. They are a “one-stop shop” for family physician referrals, providing diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, cardiology and diagnostics, PET/CT, gynecology, urology, pain management, and other specialties.
They are focused on both patient quality of care and physician and staff work satisfaction. They are very flexible with physician schedules and scope of practice. They work with Physicians to practice where, when, and how they want to practice!
They are looking for Internal Medicine Specialists to be part of their dynamic and expanding team.
Shift: Monday to Friday – Flexible shifts. No on-call work or emergency work required. Part Time and Full time available
Responsibilities:
As an Internist, you can expect to:
Perform assessment, screening, diagnosis, health education/counseling and appropriate, comprehensive treatment – within full scope of practice as defined by the The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Adhere to and promote evidence-based practices and standards of best-practice.
Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating and liaising closely with colleagues.
Attend clinical management meetings.
Be flexible to work from any clinical location in the Greater Toronto Area and occasional locums in small town cities in Ontario.
Refer patients to other clinicians for further consultation and testing as required.
Perform other duties as assigned that are reasonable with the scope of practice.
Requirements & Education:
Medical Degree and postgraduate Internal Medicine training.
Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and be licensed with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Applications are welcome from candidates working towards these.
US Board Certified Physician are eligible for independent license in Ontario
Foreign graduates are welcome.
The physician must be able to collaborate with health care staff, patients and their families.
Able to work in a team environment and independently.
Salary: Attractive ‘Fee for Service’ payment model; with earning potential of $3000/ day. Professional reading opportunity for all your patients.
